Job Description
We are looking for a skilled
HVAC Maintenance Technician
who has moved past the "green" stage and is ready to take ownership of commercial preventative maintenance. This isn't just a filter-changing job; we need someone who can spot problems before they cause a midnight emergency call. Independently perform maintenance and service on small tonnage HVAC equipment. Responsible self-starter who takes the initiative to learn new skills by taking advantage of on-line and classroom training, using advanced diagnostic tools and working with senior techs. In addition to having a strong mechanical aptitude you must be able to communicate clearly, have a positive and can-do attitude, are a good team player and smile.
Essential Duties

Perform scheduled preventative maintenance, diagnose and repair commercial RTUs, split systems and VRF equipment up to 20 tons in capacity.

Accurately document, communicate work performed and provide clear and honest recommendations to clients.

Assist Senior Techs on more complex equipment including boilers, cooling towers, chillers and controls.

Good listening skills, fast learner, proactive and organized.
Experience Required
-
3 to 5 years of commercial experience as an HVAC or Refrigeration Tech.

Demonstrate fundamental understanding of refrigeration cycle, refrigerant charging, refrigerant recovery, superheat, sub-cooling, electrical theory and basic HVAC controls.

Work on common HVAC applications such as gas heating, hydronic heating, rooftop package HVAC equipment, split system HVAC equipment, ductless split and VRF equipment, WSHP equipment, etc.

Demonstrate proficiency in electrical and mechanical troubleshooting.

Demonstrates a desire to grow professionally in the HVAC/R trade. Initiative, willingness and appetite to learn.
