COMMERCIAL HVAC SALES REPRESENTATIVE

About Us

We are a full-service sheet metal fabrication and HVAC installation company based in the Sacramento / Rancho Cordova area. We design, fabricate, and install commercial HVAC systems, custom ductwork, restaurant exhaust systems, and specialty sheet metal — all under one roof with our own CNC, laser, press brake, and installation crews.

We are scaling aggressively and looking for a driven, connected sales professional who wants to build a high-income book of business in a booming industry. If you know how to open doors with general contractors, building owners, and restaurant operators — and you want to earn without a ceiling — this is your role.

The Role

As our Commercial Sales Representative, you are the primary revenue driver for new client acquisition. You own the full sales cycle: from cold outreach through proposal delivery, close, and service agreement upsell. You are the face of the company to general contractors, building owners, restaurant operators, and commercial developers.

Key ResponsibilitiesNew Business Development

  • Identify, target, and build relationships with general contractors, commercial developers, restaurant owners, facility managers, and HVAC subcontractors
  • Maintain a minimum pipeline of 20 active prospect contacts per week
  • Attend bid walks, pre-construction meetings, GC offices, and industry events
  • Conduct site visits, needs assessments, and scope reviews for prospective projects
  • Represent the company at AGC chapter events, restaurant association meetings, and trade shows

Proposal & Contract Management

  • Work with the estimating team to develop accurate, competitive bids within 24–48 hours of scope receipt
  • Present proposals in person whenever possible; phone and email follow-up mandatory within 24 hours
  • Negotiate contract terms, scope, and pricing to close deals at or above company margin floors
  • Manage bid-to-close pipeline using company CRM (Salesforce / JobNimbus) with 100% data accuracy
  • Submit weekly pipeline reports: contacts made, proposals submitted, deals closed, revenue generated

Service Agreement Sales

  • Present a service agreement at every project completion — this is a non-negotiable part of the sales process
  • Prospect existing and past customers for service agreement upgrades and new contract opportunities
  • Target 8–12 new service agreement contracts per month by Month 6
  • Earn 15% upfront commission on Year 1 contract value plus 5% annual residual on every renewal

Client & Account Management

  • Maintain active communication with existing clients to identify expansion, referral, and upsell opportunities
  • Build toward 3–5 anchor GC relationships that provide recurring bid invitations
  • Track all client interactions, follow-ups, and deal notes in CRM within 24 hours
  • Collaborate with operations and installation teams to ensure project satisfaction and contract renewals

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of B2B sales experience in commercial construction, HVAC, mechanical, roofing, or related trades
  • Proven track record of closing deals in the $30,000–$300,000 range
  • Existing relationships with general contractors, commercial developers, or restaurant operators in the Sacramento area (strongly preferred)
  • Ability to read basic construction drawings, scopes of work, and bid documents
  • Self-managed, self-motivated — this role requires zero hand-holding
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for daily client visits
  • Comfortable with CRM tools for pipeline tracking (Salesforce, HubSpot, or equivalent)

Preferred (Will Accelerate Your Earnings)

  • Experience selling HVAC, sheet metal, or mechanical systems specifically
  • Background in commercial kitchen equipment, food service, or restaurant construction
  • Knowledge of SMACNA standards, Title 24, or California mechanical code
  • Former GC project manager or superintendent transitioning to sales
  • Experience selling service / maintenance agreements or SaaS-style recurring contracts

Pay: $100,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year
