Job Summary
We are looking for a service technician with a strong electrical background a experience in commercial hvac repairs. A background in automation and Niagara systems is a plus but not necessary. For the right candidate a full training program will be provided. Pay scale is determined by experience. Computer experience also a plus.
Duties
- Install, calibrate, and service HVAC equipment including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration systems, and ammonia refrigeration components.
- Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and HVAC design plans to accurately troubleshoot system issues.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and control problems using tools such as ohmmeters and multimeters; execute repairs efficiently.
- Repair or replace plumbing components related to HVAC systems and refrigeration units as needed.
- Operate welding equipment for component fabrication or repair purposes; ensure all work complies with safety standards.
- Assist with property maintenance tasks related to HVAC systems and building automation controls.
- Support the installation of automation controls that optimize system performance and energy management.

Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in construction environments or service technician roles.
- Proficiency in reading schematics, wiring diagrams, and HVAC design plans.
- Hands-on experience with HVAC/R systems including air conditioning, refrigeration, boilers, and ammonia refrigeration units.
- Knowledge of plumbing systems related to HVAC applications; familiarity with appliance repair is a plus.
- Ability to operate diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters effectively for troubleshooting electrical issues.
- Field service experience working directly with clients in commercial settings; excellent problem-solving skills.
- Skilled in equipment repair including welding techniques; capable of performing maintenance on complex mechanical systems.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; ability to operate a <PERSON> driver vehicle if required.
- Familiarity with building automation systems (BAS) or HVAC automation controls is highly desirable.
Pay: $20.00 - $75.00 per hour
