Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Commercial HVAC/R Service Technician to join our team! In this vital role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, and related mechanical systems in commercial settings. Responsibilities

• Perform troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repairs on commercial HVAC/R systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, ammonia refrigeration systems, and other mechanical components.
• Install, service, and maintain HVAC equipment according to schematics and technical specifications.
• Read and interpret technical schematics, blueprints, and HVAC design documents to accurately diagnose issues and execute repairs.
• Conduct preventive maintenance on HVAC/R systems to maximize efficiency and lifespan.
• Utilize tools such as ohmmeters and welding equipment to perform electrical testing and mechanical repairs.
• Assist with plumbing tasks related to HVAC systems or property maintenance as needed.
• Ensure all work complies with safety standards and environmental regulations; communicate effectively with team members and property managers regarding system status or repair needs.

Experience

• Proven experience as a service technician in the HVAC/R industry or related mechanical fields.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, refrigeration technology—including ammonia refrigeration—and boiler operation.
• Hands-on experience with equipment repair, welding, electrical troubleshooting using tools like ohmmeters, and mechanical maintenance.
• Familiarity with reading schematics and understanding HVAC design principles.
• Field service experience working directly at client sites in commercial or industrial environments.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; commercial driver’s license (CDL) is a plus.
• Additional skills such as plumbing expertise, appliance repair knowledge, property maintenance experience, or mechanic background are highly desirable. Pay: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour
