Position Overview:
We are seeking an energetic and motivated Junior-Level Commercial Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration (HVAC/R) Service Technician to join our team. In this role, you will assist with the installation, maintenance, and repair of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, and related mechanical systems across commercial properties. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills in a fast-paced environment, working alongside our experienced Colorado Springs technician. This role will initially start with ride-alongs with the senior regional technician to grow your understanding of the field and will then evolve into an independent service technician role. Your hands-on involvement will help ensure our clients’ systems operate efficiently, reliably, and safely. Responsibilities

• Assist senior technicians with troubleshooting and repairing HVAC/R systems including air conditioning units, refrigeration equipment, boilers and appliances.
• Support installation projects by setting up equipment according to schematics and design plans.
• Perform routine maintenance on HVAC/R Equipment including filters, belts, electrical connections, and refrigerant levels.
• Conduct inspections of property systems to identify issues related to refrigeration and HVAC components.
• Maintain accurate documentation of service activities, including work performed and parts used.
• Follow safety protocols during all field service activities to ensure a secure work environment.
• If not already, become EPA Certified.

Requirements

• Prior experience as a service technician or in construction with exposure to HVAC or mechanical systems is preferred.
• Basic understanding of schematics, HVAC design principles, and mechanical knowledge beneficial for troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with refrigeration systems is highly desirable.
• Experience with plumbing, appliance repair, property maintenance or boiler operation is a plus.
• Ability to operate diagnostic tools and perform equipment repair tasks confidently is beneficial.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Strong mechanical aptitude combined with excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Willingness to learn brazing techniques and use various maintenance tools in the field.
• Must be comfortable with heights, small/confined spaces and ladders.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
