Commercial Insurance Account Manager

Capital Region Insurance Agency (CRIA), named Harrisburg Magazine "Simply The Best" insurance agency and insurance agent from 2018 - 2025, is looking for a Commercial Insurance Account Manager to add to our team! In this position, you will manage a book of business and assist in the retention of and the growth of that business. The ideal candidate will communicate with clients, producers, and insurance companies via phone call, text, email, fax, or in person to provide the best customer service. This position is full-time with all of CRIA's employee benefits applicable including our excellent benefits package; health insurance, retirement plan, wellness package, and more.

Salary & Commission

Primary Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Manage book of business including customer relationships and servicing client requests, making changes to policies and reviewing billings, all while using the agency management system
  • Support account executive in new business opportunities
  • Manage renewal policies, marketing, rounding out coverage and perform coverage reviews
  • Manage quotes, proposals to clients and bind coverage with insurance carriers
  • Work with account assistants for processing documents
  • May attend company, carrier or client meetings
  • May be required to attend seminars for education/training as needed

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • High School GED, Associates degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or three to five years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Good familiarity with computer software applications and current office software
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong oral and written communication, interpersonal skills, analytical skills, technical knowledge and collaboration
  • Ability to comply with agency and carriers policies and procedures
  • Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines and standard accepted carrier(s) underwriting
  • Ability to develop resourcefulness and carry out assignments to completion with minimum supervision
  • Experience in a structured office type environment
  • Certificates, Licensees, Registration: Possess or pass the requirement to be a licensed property and casualty agent and life, health, and accident agent (CRIA pays for all insurance education)

Pay: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
