Commercial Journeyman Electrician

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Electrician to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for installing and troubleshooting electrical systems across a variety of commercial, industrial, and construction sites. Your expertise will ensure that all electrical work complies with safety standards and electrical codes, including the National Electrical Code (NEC). Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems using hand tools and power tools across commercial and industrial settings.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical schematics to accurately execute electrical installations.
• Work with low voltage systems and high voltage equipment ensuring proper operation and safety compliance.
• Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems using tools such as ohmmeters to identify faults or inefficiencies.
• Collaborate with construction teams on site to integrate electrical components seamlessly into framing carpentry and renovation projects.
• Follow all safety protocols in accordance with NEC standards and local regulations while maintaining a safe work environment.
• Maintain detailed records of work performed, including installation procedures, troubleshooting steps, and inspection reports.

Skills

• Proven experience as an industrial or commercial electrician with a strong background in construction site environments.
• Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings related to electrical systems.
• Hands-on experience with low voltage wiring and high voltage systems
• Skilled in using hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wire strippers, along with power tools necessary for electrical work.
• Knowledge of NEC standards and safety regulations applicable to various electrical installations.
• Ability to perform renovation tasks involving framing carpentry or handyman skills when needed.
