Commercial Kitchen Equipment & Refrigeration Technician

Job Type: Full-time

• Servicing Location: Southern Tier of NY & surrounding areas

Pay: $28.00 - $38.00 per hour starting rate *based on training/experience*.

• (A 90-day review includes a pay increase based on performance. Annual performance reviews include pay rate increases.)

Service Technician Responsibilities include:

• Act as lead technician when completing diagnostics & repairs and preventative maintenance on various commercial kitchen equipment at customer locations and facilities.
• Demonstrate expertise in refrigeration or experience in servicing walk-in coolers, reach-in coolers, ice machines and other cold side appliances.
• Providing equipment training as needed to ensure quality customer satisfaction.
• Producing accurate and timely administrative documents, such as work orders, time reporting, receipts, and truck stock inventory.
• Maintaining truck stock inventory within the prescribed company guidelines and standards.
• Attend both in-house and national trainings to become certified by the industry's leading manufacturers.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• 4-8 years of previous experience or training in the fields of Mechanics, HVAC/R, & Commercial Installation.
• Possess and maintain a valid state driver’s license.
• Ability to follow directions and specific process steps to ensure quality workmanship. Maintain high-quality customer service and care.
• Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States

Preferred Qualifications:

• Trade school or college certification in HVAC/R is preferred but not required.
• Good electrical troubleshooting skills are important.
• Bonus if versed in both hot and cold side equipment, or a specialization in installations.
• Highly capable driving skills. Non-aggressive driving manners are key.

Physical & Safety Requirements:

• Ability to frequently kneel, bend, squat, push, pull, reach, & occasionally lift & carry up to 70 pounds.
• Ability to work with moving mechanical parts, open flames, and heated surfaces and liquids.
• Ability to follow safe work practices and accident prevention procedures.

Hours and Travel:

• Standard hours are Monday-Friday | 8:00am-4:30pm. This is subject to change based on customer schedules and management’s discretion.
• Periodic on-call weekend rotation.

Pride Commercial Appliance Service is a growing Commercial Kitchen Appliance Repair & Installation Service provider. We have been providing service to: hospitals, universities, major retailers, healthcare facilities, and restaurants since 2004 and we are quickly expanding.
