Commercial Kitchen Exhaust Cleaner-Overnight Position

Job Summary
Join our team as an overnight Commercial Kitchen Exhaust Cleaner and play a important role in maintaining the safety and efficiency of commercial kitchen environments. In this energetic position, you will be responsible for thoroughly cleaning and inspecting kitchen exhaust systems, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and preventing fire hazards. Your proactive approach will help keep bustling kitchens running smoothly while promoting a safe workspace for all staff and visitors.

Pay starts at $19/hour with lots of opportunities for overtime and weekly bonus incentives! We also cove 100% of employee health and dental premiums!

Responsibilities:

• Perform detailed cleaning of commercial kitchen exhaust hoods, ducts, fans, filters, and grease traps using specialized tools and cleaning agents
• Inspect exhaust systems regularly to identify potential issues or blockages that could compromise safety or efficiency
• Follow established safety procedures and use personal protective equipment (PPE) diligently during all cleaning activities
• Document all cleaning tasks, inspections, and maintenance activities accurately in logs and reports
• Ensure all work areas are left clean, organized, and compliant with local fire codes and health regulations
• Assist in troubleshooting minor system issues or reporting major concerns to supervisors
• Frequent travel to job sites using company van
• must be available to work overnights!

Desired Qualifications:

• Prior experience in commercial cleaning, maintenance, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided
• Ability to work independently with a strong attention to detail and safety protocols
• Physical stamina to perform repetitive cleaning tasks, lift heavy equipment, and work in confined spaces when necessary
• Knowledge of OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) standards related to hazardous materials and workplace safety is a plus
• Excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and management
• Valid driver’s license may be required for travel between multiple job sites
• Valid phone number and working phone to communicate with team and supervisors

Physical Requirements:

• Lift and carry 50+ lbs regularly
• Stand and work for 8–12 hours
• Frequent bending, kneeling, twisting, and reaching
• Work in hot, greasy kitchens and outdoor conditions
• Use hoses, tools, and pressure washing equipment
• Must be 21 years or older to drive company van
