Commercial Lawn Care Applicator – Licensed Applicator Required

Dowco Enterprises, Inc. is hiring an experienced Commercial Lawn Care Applicator to join our lawn care team serving properties throughout St. Louis County.

A current Missouri Category 3 Ornamental and Turf Pest Control Applicator License is required for this position. Please apply only if you currently hold this license or have held it recently and are eligible to renew.

Dowco is a woman-owned lawn care and landscape maintenance company serving St. Louis County since 1986. We are looking for a skilled, dependable tradesperson who understands turf care, takes pride in quality work, and can independently manage an application route.

This is a hands-on field position, not an office or management role. The right candidate will be comfortable working outdoors, driving an assigned route, applying products safely and accurately, and representing Dowco professionally on commercial, HOA, and residential properties.

Required Qualifications

• Current Missouri Category 3 Ornamental and Turf Pest Control Applicator License
• At least two years of professional lawn care application experience
• Experience applying fertilizers, herbicides, and weed-control products
• Knowledge of common weeds, turf conditions, and lawn health concerns
• Ability to mix, load, and apply products according to label and safety requirements
• Valid driver’s license and safe driving record
• Ability to work independently and manage an assigned route
• Dependable, safety-minded, and comfortable working outdoors in changing weather conditions

Preferred Experience

• Commercial lawn care application experience
• Experience servicing HOA, commercial, or large residential properties
• Ability to identify turf issues, weeds, insects, disease, and application concerns
• Experience maintaining accurate pesticide application records
• Snow removal experience, including plow truck operation or salt application, is a plus

Responsibilities

• Apply fertilizers, herbicides, and weed-control treatments to commercial and residential properties
• Follow all label requirements, safety procedures, and application regulations
• Mix, load, transport, and apply products safely and accurately
• Identify weeds, turf issues, and lawn health concerns
• Maintain accurate service and application records
• Communicate professionally with clients, managers, and team members
• Drive an assigned route throughout St. Louis County
• Care for assigned equipment and report maintenance needs
• Assist with other lawn care or seasonal services as needed
