COMMERCIAL LINES ASSISTANT (PART TIME | REMOTE PREFERRED)

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Commercial Lines Assistant to support the daily service and administrative needs of a growing independent insurance agency. This role focuses on commercial insurance servicing, renewals, documentation, and follow-up to support producers and improve workflow efficiency.

Schedule:

Part-time: approximately 15–25 hours per week

Flexible schedule during standard business hours

Remote work preferred

Salary Range: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour

Hourly Base Salary Based on Experience

Prior experience in commercial insurance service or support

• Knowledge of ACORD forms and COIs

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks

• Professional written and verbal communication skills

• Preferred (Not Required)

• Active Property & Casualty (P&C) license

• Experience with independent insurance agencies

• Familiarity with agency management systems (Applied Epic, EZLynx, AMS, etc.)

• Experience quoting small commercial accounts

• Prepare and issue Certificates of Insurance (COIs)
• Assist with commercial policy renewals, including gathering information and preparing submissions

• Complete and process ACORD applications

• Handle policy endorsements (simple changes such as address updates, vehicle changes, payroll revisions)

• Assist with quoting small-dollar / low-complexity commercial policies

• Follow up on late payments, outstanding documents, and carrier requests

• Assist with premium finance agreements and payment collection

• Maintain accurate and organized client files in the agency management system

• Communicate professionally with clients, carriers, and internal team members
