Commercial Maintenance & Construction Technician

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dependable Commercial Maintenance & Construction Technician to support both ongoing property maintenance and tenant improvement (TI) and capital improvement projects.

This is a hands-on role for someone who can maintain, repair, and build—from troubleshooting building systems to completing renovations and space build-outs. If you take pride in high-quality work and enjoy seeing projects through from start to finish, this is an excellent opportunity.

What You’ll Do

• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance across commercial properties
• Diagnose and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, lighting, and general building systems
• Execute tenant improvement (TI) projects, including build-outs and space modifications
• Assist with capital improvement projects such as renovations, upgrades, and property enhancements
• Perform carpentry, drywall, painting, flooring, and general construction tasks
• Read and follow basic plans, scopes of work, and project specifications
• Conduct routine inspections and proactively identify maintenance needs
• Complete work orders and project tasks efficiently and to a high standard
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work environments
• Assist with overall property upkeep, including exterior maintenance and curb appeal

What We’re Looking For

• 3–5+ years of commercial maintenance and/or construction experience
• Strong working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general building systems
• Experience with tenant build-outs, renovations, or construction projects
• Ability to troubleshoot independently and manage both service calls and project work
• Comfortable using a wide range of tools and construction/maintenance equipment
• Ability to read basic blueprints or scopes of work
• Reliable, detail-oriented, and self-motivated
• Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and performing active, hands-on work

Preferred Qualifications

• HVAC certification or other relevant trade certifications
• Experience in commercial construction or multi-tenant properties
• Familiarity with building codes, safety standards, and best practices
• Welding experience (MIG, TIG, or Stick) is a strong plus
