Commercial Maintenance Technician (+ 2yr exp)

Job Responsibilities: As a Commercial Maintenance Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety, functionality, and aesthetics of our commercial properties. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Performing routine maintenance and repairs on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
• Conducting regular inspections of properties to identify and address maintenance issues proactively.
• Responding promptly to maintenance requests from tenants and property managers.
• Assisting with the setup and maintenance of building systems, including security and fire safety systems.
• Collaborating with team members to complete larger repair projects and renovations.
• Maintaining accurate records of work performed and materials used utilizing our CMMS.
• Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
• Participating in on-call rotation for after-hours emergencies as needed.

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent technical certification in maintenance or a related field is a plus.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in commercial maintenance or a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of building systems, including electrical, plumbing, and HVAC.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair various maintenance issues effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on customer service.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with property CMMS for tracking of WO.
• Familiarity with local building codes and safety regulations.
• Basic knowledge of carpentry and painting.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time inside or outside with cold and hot weather conditions.
• Ability to climb ladders and do overhead work in a safe manner.
• Ability to lift 25-50 lbs.
