Are you an experienced engineer who has grown into commercial and project leadership within building management systems or industrial automation?

Cube Controls is a respected and growing BMS specialist operating across London and the South. We deliver technically demanding building controls projects with structure, clarity and commercial discipline. We are seeking a commercially minded Commercial Manager with a solid engineering background in building automation systems or industrial automation systems. This is a senior operational-commercial leadership role focused on robust costing, system architecture and high-level project oversight.

You will take ownership of commercial and technical governance across live projects, becoming the Managing Director’s trusted partner in delivery. By assuming responsibility for commercial discipline and structured oversight, you will enable the Managing Director to refocus on R&D, innovation, technology development and long-term growth.

Working closely with the Operations Manager, who leads operational planning, engineers and servicing coordination, you will ensure projects remain commercially controlled, technically robust and professionally delivered from inception to completion.

This is not a sales role. It is an operationally focused commercial position critical to the continued success and evolution of the business.

Who We Are Looking For

We are seeking a proven commercial and technical leader with experience in one or more of the following areas:

• Building Management Systems (BMS) / Building Controls/ BEMS
• Industrial Automation or Control Systems (PLC / SCADA)
• Complex Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) Contracting, HVAC or Refrigeration
• Smart Building Integration

You should be commercially and contractually aware, comfortable interpreting detailed technical documentation, and experienced in defining system architectures and automation network design.

Familiarity with protocols such as Modbus, BACnet and IP networking is important. Experience with platforms such as Trend, Distech, Priva, Honeywell Centraline, Tridium or similar systems is highly desirable.

The Package

• Base Salary: £75,000 – £85,000 per annum (negotiable for the right fit)
• Car Package: £375 per month Car Allowance plus full mileage claim
• Leave: 23 days annual leave plus 8 Bank Holidays
