Key Responsibilities:Contract Management:
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, subcontracts, and agreements in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Ensure compliance with contract terms, conditions, and obligations.
- Maintain accurate records of all contractual correspondences, variations, and amendments.
- Monitor contract performance to identify potential risks, variations, or disputes early.
- Support project managers in contract interpretation and implementation.
- Pre Contract Stage- Preparation of tender documents including all bill of quantities specifications and particular conditions for proposed construction works.
- Post Contract Stage- reviewing valuation of variations in accordance with the contract.
Risk and Compliance:
- Support risk assessment and mitigation strategies related to contracts and claims.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company procedures.
- Advise management on contractual rights, obligations, and potential exposures.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 5–10 years of relevant experience in contract administration and claims management (construction, engineering, or infrastructure sector preferred).
- Strong understanding of standard contract forms (e.g., FIDIC, NEC, JCT).
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Proficient in MS Office and contract management tools.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Preferred Certifications:
- MRICS, MCIArb, PMP, or equivalent professional certification.
- Training in construction law or contract management (an advantage).
