Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Commercial Office Facility Manager to oversee the daily operations, maintenance, and building systems across multiple commercial office properties within our portfolio. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical and HVAC knowledge, experience managing teams and vendors, and the ability to maintain a professional and proactive environment for tenants and ownership alike.

This role requires a hands-on leader who can balance field operations, preventive maintenance, and tenant coordination while ensuring properties remain safe, efficient, and well-maintained.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day-to-day operations and maintenance of multiple office buildings
  • Perform and manage preventive maintenance (PMs) on HVAC, elevator, and building systems
  • Diagnose and assist with HVAC mechanical issues, including pneumatic controls and air handling systems
  • Manage vendors, contractors, and maintenance staff, ensuring work is completed safely and efficiently
  • Coordinate and oversee tenant move-ins and move-outs
  • Respond to tenant maintenance requests, ensuring timely resolution and strong communication
  • Monitor and maintain property condition, including grounds, parking lots, and building exteriors
  • Review and manage work orders, service logs, and detailed facility reports
  • Assist with budgeting, capital planning, and vendor proposals
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and operational standards
  • Collaborate closely with the property management and construction teams to plan upgrades and repairs

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of commercial facility management or building maintenance experience
  • Strong technical background with HVAC, mechanical, and electrical systems
  • Working knowledge of pneumatic systems, air handlers, chillers, and cooling towers
  • Familiarity with elevator systems, fire/life safety, and building automation systems (BAS)
  • Proven leadership ability — capable of managing teams, vendors, and subcontractors
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to travel between multiple properties as needed
  • Proficient with maintenance scheduling systems and reporting tools
  • Valid driver’s license and clean record

Preferred Skills:

  • EPA Universal or HVAC Certification
  • Experience with office tenant buildouts or property renovations
  • Knowledge of energy efficiency programs and building performance optimization
  • Familiarity with commercial lease operations and tenant coordination

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
