Job description

CE Painting is a rapidly growing commercial painting firm in multiple areas. We are hiring in Maine, Worcester, MA, Boston, MA, Nashua, NH and Providence, RI areas. We are seeking a skilled Commercial Painter to join our team. This role involves preparing and painting surfaces in commercial and industrial settings, ensuring high-quality finishes while adhering to safety standards and project timelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, scraping, patching, and priming
• Apply paints, stains, and coatings using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment
• Read and follow blueprints, specifications, and color schedules
• Protect surrounding areas with drop cloths, tape, and masking materials
• Mix and match paints to achieve desired colors and finishes
• Operate and maintain painting tools and equipment
• Follow all safety procedures and regulations, including guidelines from Occupational Safety and Health Administration
• Work on ladders, scaffolding, or lifts as needed
• Inspect completed work and perform touch-ups to ensure quality standards
• Coordinate with other trades and team members to meet deadlines

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Commercial Painting experience
• Knowledge of painting techniques, materials, and equipment
• Ability to read and interpret job specifications or blueprints
• Strong attention to detail and workmanship
• Physical ability to stand, climb, and lift for extended periods
• Familiarity with safety practices and protective equipment

Work Environment

• Indoor and outdoor job sites, including offices, warehouses, and construction sites
• May require evening, weekend, or overnight work to minimize business disruption
• Exposure to fumes, dust, and varying weather conditions

Compensation:

• $26 to $30 per hour, depending on experience.
• $100 gas reimbursement every 2 weeks
• up to $250 per month health care allowance through our company plan after 90 days
• The company will contribute 3% of income to a 401k regardless of employee contribution
