We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Commercial Painting - General Superintendent to lead and oversee large-scale commercial painting projects from inception to completion. Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all phases of commercial painting projects, including planning, scheduling, resource allocation, and execution.
• Supervise on-site crews, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure work is performed safely, efficiently, and according to project specifications.
• Develop detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 or similar construction management software; monitor progress and adjust plans proactively.
• Oversee quality control processes by inspecting work sites regularly, ensuring adherence to blueprints, schematics, and industry standards.
• Manage project budgets by tracking costs, reviewing contracts, and implementing cost-effective solutions without compromising quality.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and safety protocols; conduct safety meetings and enforce safety practices on site.
• Utilize construction estimating tools such as HeavyBid for accurate project cost forecasting; read blueprints and schematics for precise execution.
• Coordinate with clients, architects, engineers, and internal teams to resolve issues promptly and maintain positive relationships.
• Maintain comprehensive project documentation including daily reports, incident logs, change orders, and progress updates.
• Implement quality control measures through regular inspections using tools like ohmmeters for electrical checks when necessary.

Qualifications

• Proven experience supervising commercial painting projects within the construction industry; minimum of several years in a superintendent or management role.
• Strong knowledge of construction management software such as ProCore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, Primavera P3 or equivalent.
• Familiarity with construction site safety standards including OSHA regulations; ability to enforce safety protocols effectively.
• Skilled in reading blueprints, schematics, and construction documents; proficient in construction estimating techniques using HeavyBid or similar tools.
• Excellent management skills with demonstrated success supervising teams on complex projects; supervisory experience required.
• Technical proficiency with tools like lift equipment, scaffolding, spray equipment, small tools required for the painting trade.
• Ability to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail; strong organizational skills required.
• Effective communication skills for collaborating with diverse stakeholders across all levels of the project lifecycle.
