Position Summary

Our company prioritizes putting the client ahead of our plan for the job when we diagnose and install commercial plumbing systems. We lead customers to informed and confident decisions by providing an extraordinary customer experience. This position requires a high level of technical skill and knowledge in the field of plumbing. The ideal candidate must have commercial experience, demonstrating a strong ability to interpret blueprints to lay out walls, fixtures, and equipment for below-grade plumbing, in-wall, and overhead services. This includes proficiency in welding pipes and plumbing mechanical systems. The ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with other construction professionals is essential.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

• Install plumbing systems in commercial buildings
• Read and interpret blueprints to determine the layout of plumbing systems
• Assemble and install pipes and fittings using hand tools and power tools
• Inspect plumbing systems and identify issues or potential problems
• Collaborate, as needed, with other construction professionals, such as electricians and HVAC technicians to ensure efficient and effective installation of plumbing systems
• Test plumbing systems for leaks and ensure proper functioning
• Provide excellent customer service and address client concerns or questions

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

• Must possess or be able to obtain a valid and appropriate state driver’s license prior to employment
• Ability to identify issues, analyze problems, and develop effective solutions
• Knowledge of plumbing systems and experience working in construction settings
• Ability to operate commercial vehicles to transport equipment and materials to job sites
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints to understand the layout of plumbing systems to include but not limited to laying out walls, fixtures, and equipment for below-grade plumbing, in-wall, and overhead services.
• Proficient in using a variety of hand tools for pipe cutting, fitting assembly, and other plumbing tasks
• Strong knowledge of plumbing techniques including pipe installation, soldering, and sealing connections
• Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule
• Ability to lift heavy objects, walk, and stand for long periods of time and perform strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions
• Ability to communicate orally and in writing
• Ability to use equipment and tools properly and safely
• Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions

Excellent stamina is required. The employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts and in outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat and humidity, and exposure to dust and asphalt. The noise level in the work environment is generally loud.

Experience:

• Ground up commercial plumbing: 5 years (Required)
