Role Overview
The Commercial & Procurement Manager plays a dual role in driving event revenue and ensuring cost-effective procurement. This position bridges the gap between commercial strategy and supplier management, with a primary focus on developing winning commercial proposals for clients, sponsors, and partners. The role requires strong commercial acumen, negotiation skills, and the ability to source competitive supplier quotations while crafting tailored proposals that meet client needs, maintain profitability, and uphold event quality standards.
Key Responsibilities

Commercial Proposals & Client Solutions

Lead the development of detailed commercial proposals, bids, and RFP responses

Collaborate with internal teams to design creative, value-driven event solutions
tailored to client requirements.

Ensure all proposals are financially viable, competitive, and aligned with the
company’s profit margins.

Prepare accurate costing sheets, pricing models, and package structures.

Procurement & Supplier Management

Identify, source, and negotiate with vendors, contractors, and service providers for
event requirements.

Obtain competitive quotations and ensure supplier selection aligns with quality,
budget, and timelines.

Build and maintain a strong network of trusted suppliers and partners.

Oversee procurement documentation and contract compliance.

Commercial Strategy & Revenue Growth

Support the sales team in identifying upsell and cross-sell opportunities within
proposals.

Work closely with business and operations departments to ensure proposals reflect
brand standards and event capabilities.

Monitor market trends, competitor offerings, and pricing strategies to maintain a
competitive edge.

Event Delivery Support

Ensure smooth handover of confirmed projects from the proposal stage to
operations.

Monitor supplier performance during event delivery to ensure contractual
commitments are met.
Essential
Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Procurement, Event Management, or related field.

Proven experience in commercial proposals, bid management, or sales support in
the events/exhibitions industry.

Strong vendor negotiation and procurement skills.
-
Proficiency in preparing cost breakdowns, budgets, and financial models.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Arabic and English
Desirable

Knowledge of event production, design, and technical requirements.

Familiarity with Soho CRM and procurement management software.

Experience working on government tenders and large-scale events.
