We're looking for a sharp Property Accountant to own the financials for a portfolio of commercial properties. You'll report to the Controller and work closely with property managers and ownership to keep everything accurate and moving. This is a great company with a family style office. Long average tenure of employees and flexibility to work from home occasionally if needed.
What You'll Do
- Maintain general ledgers and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Reconcile AP, AR, bank accounts, and tenant ledgers
- Generate tenant charges and assist with collections and delinquencies
- Assist with annual budgets, reforecasts, and variance analysis
- Handle end-to-end OPEX reconciliations and NNN true-ups
- Support tax prep, compliance, and internal audit requirements
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 5+ years of commercial real estate or property management
- Hands-on experience with OPEX reconciliations and NNN lease accounting
- Advanced Excel skills; experience with AppFolio, Yardi Voyager, MRI, or similar a plus
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to juggle multiple deadlines
