<Duties>

  • Review property tax assessments and appeals strategies for commercial real estate portfolios, ensuring accurate valuation and compliance with local regulations.
  • Analyze property data, market trends, and legal frameworks to develop effective tax mitigation strategies tailored to client needs.
  • Collaborate with clients, legal teams, and government agencies to resolve disputes, negotiate assessments, and optimize tax positions.
  • Prepare detailed reports on property valuations, tax savings opportunities, and regulatory compliance status.
  • Stay current on evolving property tax laws, regulations, and legislative changes affecting commercial real estate.
  • Assist clients with estate planning related to real estate holdings, including trusts, wills, and succession strategies.
  • Support internal teams with technical expertise in accounting standards such as GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) compliance related to property assets.

<Skills>

  • Strong knowledge of property tax laws, valuation techniques, and appeals processes for commercial real estate.
  • Proficiency in financial analysis, report writing, and interpreting complex financial data related to real estate assets.
  • Ability to analyze financial statements, perform asset management assessments, and conduct account reconciliation for property portfolios.
  • Excellent communication skills for client consultations, negotiations with government agencies, and internal reporting; strong analysis skills for financial report interpretation.
  • Knowledge of securities law, public accounting standards, auditing practices, mergers & acquisitions related to real estate investments are a plus.
