Commercial Retail Leasing & Marketing Manager (Contract)

Overview

We are seeking a hands-on commercial leasing operator to help lease vacant retail storefronts in Bronzeville, Chicago. This role is not just about closing deals — it is about creating demand, running outbound outreach, managing a tenant pipeline, and converting interest into signed leases.

What You’ll Actually Do

• Proactively source potential retail and service tenants (outbound outreach)
• Build and distribute listings (LoopNet, Crexi, social, direct outreach)
• Respond to inbound inquiries and manage follow-ups
• Coordinate and conduct site tours
• Track leads, conversations, and deal stage in a simple pipeline
• Advise ownership on pricing, use mix, and market positioning
• Collaborate closely with ownership

What We’re Looking For

• Experience in retail or mixed-use commercial leasing
• Strong sales + follow-up discipline
• Comfortable doing outbound work (email, phone, in-person)
• Familiarity with Chicago neighborhoods (South Side a plus)
• Independent, proactive, and organized
• Open to performance-based compensation

Compensation

• Commission: 10% of signed lease
• Performance bonuses for speed to occupancy

Timeline

• Clear expectations and weekly check-ins
