This is an opportunity to join a fast-paced, team-oriented company with strong leadership, long-term growth opportunities, and a steady pipeline of commercial work.Position OverviewThe Commercial Roofing Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive project estimates, reviewing plans and specifications, coordinating pricing with vendors and subcontractors, and supporting the successful transition of awarded projects into operations.The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, detail-oriented, and confident managing multiple bids simultaneously while maintaining strong communication with clients, suppliers, project managers, and leadership teams.Projects may include schools, office buildings, industrial facilities, retail centers, multifamily properties, healthcare facilities, waterproofing systems, and large-scale commercial reroofing projects.Key Responsibilities

• Review blueprints, specifications, and bid documents for commercial roofing projects
• Prepare detailed takeoffs and accurate cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors
• Develop proposals, bid packages, and project pricing for commercial roofing opportunities
• Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing and material lead times
• Attend pre-bid meetings, site visits, and walkthroughs as needed
• Collaborate closely with project managers and operations teams during project handoff
• Manage bid tracking, scheduling considerations, project risk analysis, and profitability evaluations throughout the estimating process
• Assist with value engineering, scope reviews, and cost-saving recommendations
• Build and maintain strong relationships with general contractors, owners, suppliers, and subcontractors
• Support the continued growth and development of the commercial roofing division

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in commercial roofing estimating or commercial construction estimating
• Strong understanding of commercial roofing systems including TPO, PVC, modified bitumen, metal roofing systems, coatings, and waterproofing
• Ability to read and interpret commercial construction drawings and specifications
• Experience performing accurate quantity takeoffs and preparing competitive bids
• Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite
• Experience with The EDGE, Planswift, RoofCAD, or similar estimating software preferred
• Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of the Louisiana commercial construction market
• Existing relationships with suppliers and subcontractors
• OSHA certifications or safety knowledge
• Construction management or related degree preferred but not required
