Job Summary

Nash Plumbing and Mechanical, LLC is seeking a skilled and dedicated Commercial Service HVAC Technician-1 to perform routine maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on commercial HVAC systems. This role is crucial for ensuring the comfort and operational efficiency of our clients' commercial properties.

Job Responsibilities

  • Execute scheduled preventative maintenance on a variety of commercial HVAC equipment, including chillers, boilers, package units, split systems, and VAV boxes.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues in commercial HVAC systems using schematics, multimeters, and other diagnostic tools.
  • Perform repairs and replacements of HVAC components such as compressors, motors, fans, coils, and controls.
  • Conduct refrigerant recovery, recycling, and recharging in accordance with EPA regulations.
  • Document all service and repair work accurately and completely, including parts used and time spent.
  • Communicate effectively with clients regarding system status, recommended repairs, and preventative measures.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies while on job sites.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation for emergency service requests.
  • Maintain a clean and organized company vehicle and ensure proper inventory of tools and parts.
  • Collaborate with other technicians and team members to ensure efficient project completion.

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in commercial HVAC service and repair.
  • EPA Universal Refrigerant Certification required.
  • Relevant trade school diploma or equivalent apprenticeship experience.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
  • Strong understanding of HVAC electrical systems, control circuits, and building automation systems (BAS).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects, climb ladders, and work in various weather conditions and confined spaces.
  • OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred.
  • Experience with various commercial HVAC manufacturers and models.
