Septon Service Division is seeking a highly skilled Service Manager to lead our field building maintenance technician team. This role requires a hands-on leader with deep technical expertise across plumbing, electrical, construction, and diagnostics. The ideal candidate will be responsible for technician development, quality assurance, and field performance oversight.
Commercial Service Manager – Qualified candidates must be seasoned, proficient, and able to teach field technicians in all of the following technical responsibilities:
· Advanced plumbing and electrical repairs, fixture replacements, drywall patching, painting, flooring, ceiling tile replacement, and minor installations.
· Water heater replacement, conduit and wire installation, drywall hanging and finishing, tile and concrete work, and supervised on-call dispatching.
· Welding, framing, trim carpentry, sewer camera diagnostics, smoke machine testing, metal stud framing, and independent on-call dispatching. Includes mentoring lower-tier technicians.
Preferred Experience:
- 5+ years in commercial construction, building maintenance, plumbing, and/or electrical services
- Experience managing field teams and subcontractors
- Strong communication, leadership, and troubleshooting skills.
Required Technology & Organizational Skills:
- Proficient in using a Windows-based laptop for daily operations and reporting
- Strong working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Comfortable using Microsoft Teams for communication and collaboration
- Skilled in managing tasks and updates via Service Fusion or similar FSM software
- Effective use of smartphone for technician coordination, client communication, and mobile tools
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Proven multitasking ability in a fast-paced, field-driven environment
- Electrical; Plumbing & Handyman knowledge
- Hands on responsibilities regarding works orders & training as needed
Pay: $80,000-$90,000
