Commercial Sheet Metal Installer

Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Commercial Sheet Metal Installer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing sheet metal systems used in commercial HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning), refrigeration, plumbing, and property maintenance projects. Your expertise will ensure that building systems operate efficiently, safely, and reliably. Duties

• Install, assemble, and secure sheet metal components for HVAC systems, refrigeration units, plumbing fixtures, and other mechanical equipment according to schematics and HVAC design plans.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to ensure precise installation of ductwork, air conditioning units, boilers, and ammonia refrigeration systems.
• Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshoot issues with HVAC/R equipment using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and welding equipment.
• Perform service technician tasks including repairing appliances, equipment repair, and property maintenance to keep systems functioning optimally.
• Operate a <PERSON> driver vehicle safely to transport materials, tools, or equipment between job sites.
• Collaborate with project managers and other trades to coordinate installation schedules and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Document work performed through detailed reports and logs; communicate effectively with team members and clients during field service operations.

Experience

• Proven experience in construction-related sheet metal installation or service technician roles within commercial environments.
• Knowledge of HVAC/R systems including air conditioning, refrigeration (including ammonia refrigeration), boilers, and mechanical components.
• Familiarity with schematics, blueprints, HVAC design principles, plumbing systems, and property maintenance procedures.
• Hands-on experience with equipment repair, welding techniques, use of diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters, and general mechanical knowledge.
• Prior field service experience working on HVAC/R units or appliance repair is highly desirable.
• Valid <PERSON> driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating heavy equipment or specialized vehicles is a plus.
• Ability to interpret technical documents accurately while adhering to safety protocols in fast-paced environments. Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
