Responsible for analyzing the following: financial statements, tax returns and credit history. Responsible for underwriting commercial loan requests and preparing credit reviews to assist Loan Officers with loan decisions.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Underwrite Loan Requests
a. Analyze Commercial and Industrial (C&I) credits as well as Commercial Real Estate (CRE) credits
b. Discuss potential loan requests with officers
c. Spread and interpret financial information
d. Prepare presentations, downgrade forms and periodic reviews
e. Review credits to document any exceptions to loan covenants and the loan policy
f. Run and interpret searches/reports and complete loan request forms (i.e. UCC, credit bureau, etc.)
g. Investigate as needed to determine viability and value of collateral
h. Evaluate and analyze commercial and residential real estate appraisals
i. Answer questions in Loan Committee as required
j. Go with Loan Officers to call on prospective clients and existing clients
k. Assist Loan Officers with gathering sufficient information
2. Maintain Distinctive Customer Service
a. Work with internal bank customers
b. Research for internal and external customers as requested
3. Compliance/Education
a. Know and adhere to rules and regulations (internal and governmental)
b. Training and development as required by the Bank
c. Other education that may be beneficial
4. Prepare Reports to the Board of Directors
5. Track updated financials
6. Maintain floor plan loans, process daily transactions, and audits
7. Any and all other duties as requested by management as needs arise

Requirements:
· Must have bachelor’s degree in accounting or other business related field
· Experience is preferred, but not required
· Must be PC proficient, including Microsoft Office with emphasis on Excel
· Must have ability to work independently with limited supervision
· Must have ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
· Must have excellent interpersonal, analytical and problem solving skills
· Must have a solid understanding of accounting
· Must have excellent math ability, strong oral and written communication, good organizational skills and attention to detail
· Must have ability to work with computer for extended periods of time
This position can work out of the Joliet or LaSalle IL office.
** Salary is commensurate with experience
