The Opportunity

Are you a responsible, hands-on professional ready to trade the same four walls for the open road? Facilities Resource Group ("FRG") is looking for a motivated Plumbing Tech / Apprentice to join our national installation team. This isn’t just a "helper" job—it’s a high-stakes, high-reward role where you’ll help power major commercial facilities across the country. We don’t just hire you; we invest in you. We’ll cover the costs for your Class B Chauffeur License and DOT Medical Card, giving you professional credentials that stay with you for life.

Why Join the FRG Road Team?

National Footprint: Spend your week seeing the U.S. from the cab of a premium fleet truck.
High-Earning Potential: With 40–70 hours per week, your "high OT" means a significantly larger paycheck.
Earn While You Learn: Level up your skills in copper pipefitting, gas piping, and advanced tankless systems alongside expert Lead Plumbers.
Autonomy & Trust: You’re responsible for the safe transport and setup of high-end equipment. We trust you to manage the logistics and the gear.
Full Benefits: Direct-hire, full-time stability with a comprehensive benefits package.

Your Mission on the Road

The Journey: Safely pilot our fleet trucks and enclosed trailers to project sites nationwide. You’ll manage your electronic logs (GEOTAB) and ensure the customer's equipment arrives on time and ready to go.
The Build: Once on-site, you’re the "Right Hand." You’ll cut, fit, and join copper and PVC piping (1/2" to 2"), assist with venting, and help swap out old systems for cutting-edge tankless technology.
The Finish: After a successful install, you’ll load out and head back to the Michigan shop, prepping for your next national destination.

What You Bring to the Dashboard

Experience: 1–2 years of plumbing experience and a solid grasp of "shop math."
Reliability: You’re 21+, authorized to work in the US, have a clean driving record, and can pass a DOT physical/drug screen.
Grit: You’re comfortable with the physical nature of the trade—lifting up to 75 lbs, working on ladders, and transitioning from the driver's seat to the job site.
Precision: You know your tools and can read a tape measure down to the 1/16".

Ready to Level Up? If you’re a local West Michigan tradesperson looking for more variety, more travel, and a bigger career path, we want to talk. Apply today with your current resume and let’s get you on the road.
