Commercial/Industrial Pipefitter

West Point Specialties Contracting Inc is in search of a Commercial/Industrial Pipefitter Foreman and Pipefitter Journeymen to work on our Federal/Public Works projects in San Diego, CA.

Victaulic installation experience is required. No not apply without required experience.

Core Roles & Responsibilities:

• Plan and execute trade activities for assigned project(s); communicate needs with Superintendent and admin team
• Ensure trade craftsmanship, safety, and productivity is completed at or above standards
• Train and mentor ABC Apprentices
• Coordinate activities with other trades and develop good relationships with project team

Primary Duties

• Ensure safe working practices by identifying and mitigating possible hazardous situations. Complete job safety checklist and conduct job safety meetings.
• QC of installations per trade standards, current project plans and specifications.
• Knowledge and implementation of trade standards and codes for practical application.
• Coordinate all inspections.
• Installation of plumbing/HVAC systems and components as required.
• Communicate issues and status with general contractor/client.
• Take-off and detail all necessary materials to complete project on time.
• Manage and coordinate your trades’ subcontractors.
• Attend and participate in onsite meetings (preconstruction, safety, coordination…) and track action items.
• Provide accurate field documentation (as-builts, daily reports, timecards, labor lookaheads, T&Ms, RFIs, etc.)
• Perform and/or QC layouts.
• Hold trade team members accountable; provide positive feedback or corrective action when appropriate.

• 2 years’ experience as a Foreman and/or Journeyman Pipefitter/Plumber
• Victaulic installation
• No Criminal Record –Background checks will be performed
• Clean driving record
• Job Type: Full-time with Overtime; Travel Sometimes Required

Pay: Federal/Public Prevailing Wage (approx. $58+/hr) + Fringe Benefits Package
