We are seeking a skilled and motivated Sheet-Metal Mechanic to join our dynamic staffing team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining HVAC air distribution systems across DFW area commercial jobsites , ensuring compliance with safety standards and building codes. Your expertise in duct installing/ repairing mechanical systems will contribute to the successful completion of diverse projects, from commercial buildings to remodel initiatives. - Install, repair, and maintain commercial heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.
- Must have hand tools, power tools, and Safety Gear (PPE) across multiple construction sites.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute layouts and modifications.
- Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting of plumbing fixtures, HVAC components, and mechanical systems.
- Collaborate with project managers, carpenters, electricians, and other trades to coordinate installation schedules and ensure seamless project flow.
- Heavy lifting of materials and equipment required for installation or repair work while adhering to safety protocols.
- Utilize basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and material estimations necessary for project execution.
Experience
- Must have all Tools & PPE
- Proven experience as a Journeyman Sheet Metal with a strong background in construction plumbing projects.
- Knowledge of construction site safety procedures and ability to work effectively in a physically demanding environment.
- Skilled in reading blueprints, schematics, and mechanical drawings related to plumbing systems.
- Hands-on experience with pipe threading, welding techniques, and the use of hand tools and power tools.
- Familiarity with HVAC systems, remodeling projects, maintenance tasks, and handyman skills is highly desirable.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) or ability to obtain one is a plus.
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with the ability to perform heavy lifting and precise assembly work confidently.
