Roles & Responsibilities:

• Assist in daily food preparation for Continental & Chinese sections
• Follow recipes, portion control, and presentation standards
• Prepare mise-en-place as per kitchen requirements
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the work station (as per FSSAI standards)
• Assist senior chefs (CDP / Sous Chef) during service
• Ensure proper storage and labeling of food items
• Minimize wastage and follow FIFO practices
• Handle basic cooking under supervision (for Commis 2)
• Independently handle assigned tasks (for Commis 1)
• Follow kitchen safety and food hygiene policies

Requirements:

• Commis 2: 1–2 years of experience in Continental / Chinese cuisine
• Commis 1: 2–4 years of experience in Continental / Chinese cuisine
• Knowledge of sauces, stocks, basic gravies, and cooking techniques
• Ability to work in shifts and under pressure
• Team player with good attitude and discipline

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of live kitchen operations
• Understanding of plating and food presentation
• Basic understanding of inventory handling
• Willingness to learn and grow within the organization
