Job Summary:
Responsible for assisting with the preparation, baking, and finishing of various baked goods. Work under the guidance of experienced bakers to assist in the production of high-quality baked goods, including bread, pastries, cakes, and desserts.
Key Responsibilities
1. Assist with the preparation of ingredients and mise en place for baking, including measuring, weighing, and portioning ingredients according to recipes.
2. Prepare doughs, batters, fillings, and other components for various baked goods.
3. Assist in the baking and cooking of a variety of bakery items, including bread, rolls, croissants, muffins, cookies, cakes, and pastries.
4. Monitor baking times and temperatures, rotating trays as needed to ensure even baking and consistent quality.
5. Assist with the decoration, finishing, and presentation of baked goods, including icing, glazing, piping, and garnishing.
6. Follow company standards to ensure that finished products meet aesthetic and quality requirements.
7. Operate bakery equipment and machinery safely and efficiently, including mixers, ovens, dough sheeters, pastry brushes, and piping bags.
8. Clean and maintain bakery equipment and tools, following proper sanitation and maintenance procedures.
9. Assist in conducting quality checks on baked products, including appearance, texture, taste, and freshness.
10. Report any issues or discrepancies to senior bakers or bakery supervisors for resolution.
11. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bakery section, including work surfaces, storage areas, and equipment.
12. Properly store and label baked goods and ingredients to ensure freshness, hygiene, and traceability.
13. Adhere to food safety and sanitation standards at all times, including proper handling of ingredients, storage of perishable items, and cleaning of work areas.
14. Performs other duties assigned.
Qualification, Experience & Knowledge
- High school diploma or equivalent. Culinary school education or vocational training in baking and pastry arts is advantageous.
- 2 to 3 years Previous experience in a bakery or pastry kitchen.
- Basic knowledge of baking techniques, pastry-making methods, and food safety practices.
- Physical stamina and dexterity to perform tasks such as lifting, kneading, and standing for extended periods.
- Attention to detail and commitment to perform task such as lifting, kneading, and standing for extended periods.

- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and follow instructions from head of department.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- With valid Food Handling Certificate

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: QAR1,500.00 - QAR1,700.00 per month
