Job Summary
Commis 1 is responsible for preparing ingredients and assisting in cooking dishes according to the restaurant or hotel standards. The role supports the Chef de Partie in managing a kitchen section and ensures food preparation, quality, and hygiene standards are maintained. The Commis 1 also helps maintain a clean and organized kitchen while working efficiently as part of the kitchen team.
Job Requirements
- Diploma or certificate in Culinary Arts / Hotel Management (preferred).
- Usually 1–3 years of kitchen experience.
- Experience in hotel, restaurant, or catering kitchen is preferred.
Key Tasks / Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients such as cutting, chopping, marinating, and portioning.
- Cook and plate dishes according to recipes and presentation standards.
- Assist the team in daily kitchen operations.
- Ensure food quality, taste, and consistency meet kitchen standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen area and equipment.
- Follow food safety and hygiene regulations at all times.
- Store food items properly and follow FIFO (First In, First Out) stock rotation.
- Check and maintain kitchen equipment in good condition.
- Assist in receiving and storing deliveries.
- Work efficiently during busy service periods and support other kitchen staff when needed.

Pay: AED2,000.00 - AED2,300.00 per month
