The Commis Chef I is responsible for assisting senior chefs in food preparation and basic cooking duties. This role focuses on developing culinary skills, maintaining kitchen hygiene, and supporting the smooth operation of the kitchen while delivering quality dishes to standard.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation and cooking of food under supervision
  • Carry out mise en place for daily kitchen operations
  • Follow recipes, portion controls, and presentation standards
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations
  • Adhere to food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards
  • Properly store food items and follow FIFO stock rotation
  • Assist in receiving and storing kitchen supplies
  • Reduce waste by following correct preparation methods
  • Support Demi Chef de Partie and Chef de Partie as required
  • Work cooperatively with team members to ensure smooth service

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: QAR1,600.00 - QAR1,950.00 per month
