We are looking for a passionate and hardworking Commis Chef to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will assist in food preparation, maintain high kitchen standards, and support senior chefs in delivering quality dishes consistently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Independently prepare and cook dishes within your assigned section
  • Ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and portioning
  • Assist the Chef de Partie in managing daily kitchen operations
  • Supervise and guide junior kitchen staff (Commis II/III, helpers)
  • Maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety
  • Monitor stock levels and assist in inventory control and ordering
  • Ensure proper storage and labeling of food items (FIFO compliance)
  • Minimize food waste and control costs within your section
  • Follow kitchen SOPs, recipes, and plating guidelines strictly
  • Step in to manage a section in the absence of the Chef de Partie

Requirements

  • Minimum 2–4 years of experience in a professional kitchen
  • Good knowledge of international or specialized cuisine (depending on your concept)
  • Strong understanding of kitchen operations and food safety standards (HACCP knowledge preferred)
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Physically fit and able to work long hours on your feet
