
Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior chefs in food prep, such as cutting vegetables, grating cheese, and making sauces.
- Prepare and portion toppings for manakish (zaatar, cheese, meats, etc.).
- Support baking staff by moving trays, cleaning equipment, and restocking stations.
- Learn to operate basic kitchen tools and ovens under supervision.
- Ensure all ingredients are labeled and stored properly.
- Support with plating and packaging of orders during peak hours.
- Follow hygiene protocols and wear proper kitchen attire at all times.
- Help in portioning and preparing dough balls under supervision.
- Prepare toppings and fillings based on instructions from the Chef de Partie.
- Maintain cleanliness of workstation before, during, and after the shift.
- Support the bakery team with tray loading/unloading and oven assistance.
- Label and store food ingredients properly to ensure freshness.
- Ensure all tools and equipment are cleaned and stored correctly after use.
- Follow standard hygiene and food safety practices throughout the kitchen.
- Refill topping stations during peak hours to avoid delays.
- Assist in packaging and plating baked items during rush hours.
- Attend daily kitchen briefings and follow the instructions given by senior chefs.
- Help monitor ingredient levels and inform supervisors when items are running low.
- Dispose of kitchen waste appropriately and keep the prep area tidy.
- Assist in other kitchen sections when required by the Chef de Partie or Head Chef.
