Commis pastry chef

Assist in preparing a variety of pastries, desserts, cakes, and baked items
Follow recipes and instructions from the Pastry Chef or Chef de Partie
Measure and prepare ingredients accurately
Support in baking, decorating, and plating desserts
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry kitchen
Ensure all food is prepared according to hygiene and safety standards
Help with receiving and storing ingredients properly
Monitor stock levels and inform supervisors of shortages
Assist in daily mise en place (preparation before service)
Follow kitchen procedures, policies, and guidelines

Skills Required

Technical Skills

Basic knowledge of baking and pastry techniques
Understanding of kitchen equipment and tools
Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
Ability to follow recipes precisely
