Job Title: Senior Testing & Commissioning Engineer
Industry: Electrical – Power Systems / Projects
Location: Chennai (Travel to project sites required)
Experience: 10+ Years
Qualification: B.E / B.Tech – EEE (Mandatory)
Language: Hindi & English mandatory, Tamil preferred

Job Responsibilities

• Lead Testing & Commissioning activities for electrical systems in industrial/commercial projects
• Expertise in LV & MV systems including Transformers, HT/LT Panels, Switchgear, UPS, DG, VFD, PF Panels, Cabling, etc.
• Perform and supervise testing such as IR, Hi-pot, Contact resistance, Primary/Secondary injection, Relay T&C
• Interpret SLDs, wiring diagrams, load schedules, control logic and relay coordination
• Ensure safety compliance and site execution as per standards (IEC/IS)
• Prepare daily progress reports, test reports and documentation
• Client interaction, coordination with contractors and OEM engineers
• Troubleshooting during commissioning & handover process
• Guide/mentor junior engineers & technicians
• Manage manpower allocation and ensure timely project completion

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of electrical protection systems & safety procedures
• Proficiency using testing tools and commissioning instruments
• Experience in project coordination and site management
• Good communication & client handling skills
• Able to work under pressure and flexible with extended working hours when required
• Willingness to travel frequently to project locations
