TUNE is hiring Commissioning Providers with either electrical or mechanical expertise to support commissioning services for commercial buildings and mission-critical facilities. We are seeking motivated, detail-oriented professionals who enjoy problem-solving, collaborating with project teams, and ensuring the high performance of building systems. Candidates with experience in electrical distribution, mechanical systems, and/or building automation are encouraged to apply.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide commissioning services for new construction and existing buildings.
• Review system designs (electrical or mechanical) to understand design intent and verify performance.
• Interact with client staff, principals, construction management teams, and trade partners.
• Develop commissioning plans, specifications, test procedures, and design review documentation.
• Review shop drawings and equipment submittals in conjunction with design teams to ensure alignment with project requirements.
• Write detailed Functional Performance Test (FPT) procedures and coordinate with contractors.
• Conduct site visits during construction to observe installation and system operation.
• Witness equipment startups and administer system functional performance testing.
• For mechanical focus: review BAS controls, TAB activities, and inspect existing HVAC equipment for performance issues.
• For electrical focus: work with 3-phase electrical systems (208V, 240V, 480V) and assist with 5kV/15kV distribution equipment.
• Lead commissioning team meetings and communicate findings effectively.
• Prepare clear, concise reports summarizing commissioning results, issues, and recommendations.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in a related electrical or mechanical field, or equivalent field experience (electrician, HVAC technician, controls technician, etc.).
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in commercial building construction administration or field work.
• Familiarity with electrical distribution systems or mechanical/BAS controls systems.
• Self-motivated, engaged, and capable of working independently or within a team.
• Reliable, organized, and detail-oriented.
• Strong desire to learn, grow, and expand technical and professional skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
