Location: USA, Remote (preferably in the southern or southeastern region, such as Georgia or nearby states, although not required).

Are you an ambitious procurement professional ready to make an impact in North America’s Southern Yellow Pine (SYP) market? Weston Forest is seeking a Commodity Buyer to source and manage key lumber supply partnerships for Southern Yellow Pine (SYP) across the southern United States.

What You’ll Do

Build Supplier Partnerships

  • Source lumber and panel products under Product Manager direction.

  • Negotiate competitive pricing and delivery terms.

  • Monitor regional market trends, sawmill output, and commodity fluctuations.

Support Operations

  • Track inventory levels and assist with forecasting and replenishment planning.

  • Ensure timely shipments and accurate documentation.

  • Provide procurement updates to internal teams and assist in resolving supplier or logistics issues.

Represent Weston Forest

  • Visit sawmills and supplier sites regularly.

  • Attend industry tradeshows across the U.S. and Canada.

  • Act as a professional ambassador for the Weston Forest brand.


What We’re Looking For

  • 1–3 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain.

  • Experience in lumber or sawmill environments is an asset.

  • Strong communication, analytical, and negotiation skills.

  • Post-secondary education in Business, Supply Chain, or related field preferred.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook).

  • Valid driver’s license and passport required; ability to travel regionally throughout the USA and occasionally to our HQ in Mississauga, ON, Canada.

The position involves regular travel to sawmills, supplier facilities, and tradeshows across the southern U.S., with occasional travel to Canada for meetings and collaboration.
