Commodity Operations Manager / Executive

An experienced Commodity Operations professional to manage end-to-end post-trade and operational processes for commodity market transactions. The role involves trade processing, settlement, reconciliation, compliance, and coordination with exchanges, brokers, and internal teams to ensure smooth and timely execution of

commodity trades.


Key Responsibilities

  • Handle end-to-end commodity trade operations including trade confirmation, settlement, and reconciliation.
  • Ensure timely processing of F&O, Spot, and Physical Commodity trades.
  • Coordinate with brokers, exchanges (MCX/NCDEX), clearing members, and custodians .
  • Monitor margin, pay-in/pay-out, and collateral management .
  • Resolve trade discrepancies, settlement issues, and client queries.
  • Ensure compliance with exchange regulations, SEBI guidelines, and internal SOPs .
  • Maintain proper documentation, reports, and audit trails .
  • Support risk management and exposure monitoring .
  • Assist in system improvements and process automation .
  • Liaise with front office, risk, finance, and compliance teams for smooth operations.


Required Skills & Knowledge

  • Strong understanding of commodity markets, derivatives, and settlement cycles
  • Knowledge of MCX / NCDEX operations
  • Experience with back-office systems, RMS, and OMS
  • Familiarity with margining, collateral, and clearing processes
  • Good knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements
  • Strong Excel and reporting skills
  • Excellent coordination and communication skills


Qualifications

  • Graduate / Postgraduate in Commerce, Finance, Economics, or related field
  • 5–7 years of relevant experience in Commodity Operations / Broking / Trading Firm
  • Preferred Experience

    • Experience in clearing & settlement operations
    • Handling audits, inspections, and regulatory reporting
    • Exposure to process improvement or automation projects
