As the Communications & Design Specialist on Taos Ski Valley’s Marketing Team, you’ll bring creative skills and a strong attention to detail in order to bring our brand voice and visual feel to life across every channel. You’ll design a wide range of materials, write & edit guest-facing communications, and collaborate closely with teammates to ensure everything we create is clear, consistent, and true to the Taos Ski Valley brand.


This is a hands-on creative role for someone who enjoys variety in their work and take pride in producing thought, polished materials that make an impact.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

Graphic Design

  • Revise, resize, and finalize campaigns ads from agency drafts
  • Create and update resort signage, event posters, and other on-site advertising
  • Design maps, promotional materials, and branded swag
  • Develop assets for digital and print use, collaborating with the Visual team and the Digital Marketing Manager on needs in their respective channels
  • Ensure all creative material maintain visual consistency and align with brand guidelines

Copywriting & Communications

  • Draft guest emails, app notifications, and website emails with guidance from the Digital Marketing Manager
  • Write and edit short-form content such as social media captions and ad copy
  • Assist with blogs and other written content
  • Prepare clear and timely communications by monitoring internal channels to keep guests informed on resort conditions, events, and news

Marketing & Collaboration

  • Assist with brainstorm and executing marketing campaigns
  • Work across departments to collect information and ensure c communications are accurate and aligned
  • Reliable attendance on all scheduled workdays
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications/Knowledge:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience preferred
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite
  • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills with attention to detail and tone
  • Passion for outdoor recreation is a bonus
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and evenings.

Work Environment:

Taos Ski Valley, Inc. is often a fast-paced work environment, especially during Holidays and Peak days. TSVI is in a high-altitude alpine environment. Position may require travel on uneven, snow-packed, or icy terrain and may be exposed to wet, cold, and/or humid conditions. Must be able to work in close quarters and with other staff.


Physical Demands of Position Include:

Candidate must be able to work at a computer for long periods of time, and commute to and from the office. This job does not require ability to ski or snowboard, but it is a plus.

Positions dealing with children, of safety-sensitive and/or confidential nature, require driving or positions that handle cash may require a background check and MVR check. Employment is contingent upon a favorable background check and MVR check.
