Job Purpose

The Communication Director will lead the development and execution of strategic communication initiatives to enhance the organization’s reputation, visibility, and stakeholder engagement. The role requires a senior, results-driven leader with deep experience in strategic communication, media relations, and public affairs , including prior exposure to top-tier PR agencies and government or semi-government entities in the UAE .


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement organization-wide strategic communication strategies aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Oversee media relations, public affairs, messaging, and crisis communication activities.
  • Lead internal and external communication initiatives , ensuring consistent brand and messaging across all platforms.
  • Provide strategic counsel to senior leadership on communication approaches, stakeholder engagement, and public messaging.
  • Manage cross-functional teams in PR, content, digital, and media monitoring to ensure integrated communication execution.
  • Build and maintain relationships with media, stakeholders, and government entities to enhance organizational visibility.
  • Monitor, analyze, and report on communication performance, media coverage, and public sentiment .
  • Ensure all communication initiatives comply with local cultural norms, government protocols, and organizational policies .
  • Mentor and develop communication team talent, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in strategic communication, including 5 years in a top-tier PR agency . (SVP-Partner- Head)
  • Proven track record in managing large-scale communication programs for government or high-profile organizations.
  • Experience in the UAE market is a must.
  • Strong knowledge of media relations, crisis communication, corporate messaging, and public affairs .
  • Exceptional leadership, stakeholder management, and strategic planning skills.
