We are looking for a talented storyteller, communicator, and content creator to join our team as our Communications & Brand Content Manager. This role is ideal for someone who loves writing, creating compelling content, managing digital platforms, and bringing meaningful stories to life.

About the Role

As the Communications & Brand Content Manager, you will be responsible for developing and managing content that raises awareness of our mission, engages donors and supporters, celebrates impact, and helps families access our services.

You will collaborate across the organization to capture stories, create engaging content, manage digital communications, and ensure that every message reflects the heart of Ronald McDonald House Albany.

What You Will Do

Tell Our Story

  • Gather and share inspiring stories from families, volunteers, staff, and supporters.
  • Write compelling content for print, digital, social media, email, and marketing materials.
  • Create content that strengthens donor engagement and community awareness.

Lead Digital Communications

  • Manage and maintain the Ronald McDonald House Albany website.
  • Oversee social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
  • Develop and manage email communications and campaigns.
  • Maintain an editorial calendar to ensure timely and strategic content delivery.

Protect and Grow the Brand

  • Ensure all communications align with Ronald McDonald House brand standards.
  • Maintain photo and video assets and organize content libraries.
  • Coordinate with external vendors and communications partners.
  • Support media relations activities, interviews, story pitches, and special events.

Collaborate Across the Organization

  • Partner with staff, volunteers, families, and community stakeholders to identify impactful stories and communications opportunities.
  • Represent Ronald McDonald House Albany at community and organizational events.

What We are Looking ForRequired Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.
  • Two or more years of professional communications, marketing, or content creation experience.
  • Experience managing social media accounts and/or websites.
  • Valid New York State driver's license.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain volunteer credentials with Albany Medical Center.

Preferred Skills

  • Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling abilities.
  • Experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar design tools.
  • Experience with email marketing platforms such as Constant Contact.
  • Experience with WordPress websites.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently while thriving in a collaborative team environment.
  • Compassion and professionalism when interacting with families experiencing medical crises.

Pay: $29.00 - $34.00 per hour
