Position Summary
Duncan Golf Management is searching for a Communications and Marketing Director. The Communications & Marketing Director is responsible for developing and executing comprehensive marketing, branding, and communication strategies that support the company’s golf facilities, hospitality services, and overall business growth. This role oversees brand consistency across all properties, manages public relations, enhances customer engagement, and drives revenue through strategic marketing campaigns.
The ideal candidate is a creative and results-driven leader with a deep understanding of the golf and hospitality industry, strong digital marketing skills, and the ability to craft compelling brand stories that connect with members, guests, and the community.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
Marketing Strategy & Execution
· Develop and implement annual marketing plans for each golf property under management, aligning with company goals and seasonal initiatives.
· Lead brand positioning and messaging across all platforms to maintain a cohesive identity for the company and its properties.
· Plan and oversee advertising campaigns, promotions, and sponsorships to drive membership, event bookings, and public play.
· Manage and track marketing budgets, ROI, and performance analytics for campaigns.
Digital & Social Media Management
· Oversee all digital channels including websites, email marketing, and social media for corporate and property-level accounts.
· Create and manage engaging digital content that highlights courses, amenities, tournaments, and special events.
· Leverage SEO/SEM, online advertising, and social analytics to maximize engagement and reach.
Communications & Public Relations
· Serve as the primary point of contact for media inquiries and community relations.
· Develop press releases, newsletters, and corporate communications that reflect the company’s values and voice.
· Build partnerships with local tourism boards, event sponsors, and community organizations.
· Support internal communications to ensure brand alignment across all departments and locations.
Creative & Brand Development
· Oversee the design and production of marketing materials, signage, and collateral.
· Ensure consistent visual and verbal branding standards across all properties.
· Collaborate with vendors, photographers, and designers to produce professional, high-quality assets.
Leadership & Collaboration
· Lead a small marketing team and collaborate closely with General Managers at each property.
· Provide guidance, training, and tools to on-site teams for consistent execution of marketing and communication standards.
· Work cross-functionally with operations, sales, events, and membership departments to align on goals and initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
· Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or related field (Master’s preferred).
· 5-10+ years of experience in marketing or communications leadership, ideally in golf, hospitality, or leisure industries.
· Proven success developing and executing multi-channel marketing campaigns.
· Strong writing, editing, content creation skills, digital influence, team building and strategic thinking.
· Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Google Analytics, and digital marketing platforms.
· Excellent leadership, organizational, and project management skills.
· Passion for golf, hospitality, and delivering exceptional guest experiences.
