Description
The ideal candidate will:
  • Work alongside the communications team to implement a strategic social media plan.
  • Keep tabs on social media trends and trending topics.
  • Create content tailored for different audiences.
  • Reach out to campus members to coordinate content-gathering.
  • Capture spontaneous moments on campus—they’ll know potential content when they see it.
  • Use their outgoing nature to engage with campus community members.
  • Document events on campus, including specific events, classes, and programs to support recruitment and marketing initiatives.

The Social Media Manager is also responsible for general office duties such as purchasing requisitions and Accounts payable, credit card transactions and reconciliations, work orders, as well as vendor relationships as needed for the Office.

Qualifications
Qualifications
  • A bachelor’s degree and at least two years of experience in content creation.
  • Fluent on TikTok, Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram in terms of each platform’s abilities, features, and audiences.
  • Ability to create and edit videos, photos, and images appropriate for social media, utilizing a range of apps and programs.
  • Able to look at social media insights and data and adjust content as needed.
  • Familiarity with posting through programs such as Hootsuite is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.
