Communications Assistant - REMOTE

Description:

The Communications Assistant is responsible for assisting the marketing team in accomplishing the overall credit union goals by providing communication support to the marketing team through the writing of marketing materials, social media posts, communications and scripts.

This full-time position is primarily work from home, however, the candidate will occasionally need to attend mandatory meetings, required training or cultural events in person. Therefore, the individual may need to go into the office and must be based within a reasonable commuting distance to one of our four Vizo Financial campus offices:

• Greensboro, NC
• Columbia, SC

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have a background in communications, marketing and/or public relations.

Primary responsibilities include:

• Writing and proofing marketing content for Vizo Financial, including member announcements, regular communications, video scripts, press releases, how-to guides.
• Draft and edit publication materials and communications copy and assist with executing communication projects and strategies.
• Assist with researching, writing and editing all content for social media plans and email communications.
• Analyze communications and marketing data for open rates, click rates, and correlation to website traffic and generate analytics reports.
• Assist in executing marketing strategies and objectives.

Seeking candidates with:

• Bachelor’s degree in communication, journalism, media, marketing, public relations or related field.
• 2+ years of professional communications experience.
• Excellent communication and writing skills with the ability to write copy and external communications.
• Ability to analyze communication and social media reports.
• Knowledge of AP style.
• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment, manage priorities and balance diverse projects.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and ability to learn other systems as needed.

Salary Range: Starting at $20.00 to $25.00 Per Hour

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Travel requirements

Some travel is required with this position. Travel may be out of state and/or require flying. The employee may be required to drive a vehicle to and from a corporate event or credit union. Occasional travel may include five to ten overnight stays per year.
