Developing high-quality documentation and written communication materials—including reports, proposals, case stories, and presentations—to effectively capture, articulate, and amplify the organization’s work, outcomes, and impact across stakeholders.

About Catalysts for Social Action:

Catalysts for Social Action (CSA) is a non-governmental organization based in Mumbai that strives to create a brighter future for vulnerable children, children under institutional care and care leavers. CSA operates in four states in India, namely Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, and Goa. CSA works with more than 100 child care institutions with almost 4500 children, and more than 1500 care leavers.

Role Overview

The Communication Associate will be responsible for developing and implementing effective communication strategies to enhance the visibility, impact, and reach of organization's work. This role involves creating compelling content, engaging stakeholders, and ensuring consistent messaging across various platforms. The ideal candidate will be a creative and strategic thinker with excellent writing, communication, and interpersonal skills, and a strong commitment to the organization's mission.

Responsibilities:

l Documentation:

- Prepare, edit, and design diverse documents and audio-visual materials: monthly/quarterly/annual reports, funding and research proposals, organization/community profiles, data-collection templates, presentations, and official correspondence (letters/permissions).

- Support special field events and campaigns; maintain curated photo/video libraries.

- Conduct periodic field visits to capture and write high-quality case stories.

- Assist in developing need-based concept notes and presentations for varied audiences.

l Content Creation and Management:

- Develop engaging and informative content for various communication channels.

- Write compelling stories and case studies that highlight the impact of the organization's work.

- Ensure all communication materials are consistent with the organization's brand and messaging guidelines.

l Other Responsibilities:

- Assist with the planning and execution of events and campaigns.

- Stay updated on relevant communication trends and best practices.

- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications and Experience:

- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, or related field; Master’s preferred.

- 1–2 years of relevant communications experience (freshers are welcome to apply).

- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement communication strategies; strong critical thinking and basic research skills.

- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading in English with a flair for storytelling.

- Familiarity with design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite or similar) preferred.

Salary: The salary offered is competitive and will be determined based on industry standards, qualifications, and the candidate's level of experience.
