Summary
The Communications Coordinator I develops and implements an annual community education plan to raise awareness on donation and enhance key relationships with community health partners, volunteers, high school/college campuses and faith partners. This position spearheads the coordination of community outreach events which support the mission of organ and tissue donation through on-going special events, partnerships and marketing initiatives to create awareness on donation.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Collaborates with team in the development, implementation and evaluation of key educational and outreach initiatives across the state.

Assists with development and editing of content for communication tools such as newsletters, press releases and promotional materials.
- Proactively participates in the planning of special events and community activities designed to promote awareness and educate, to support organ and tissue donation; donor designation among targeted audiences across the state.
- Serves as a professional liaison to and collaborates with student volunteers engaged on high school and college campuses.

Assists with the management and training of the volunteer program.

Addresses media and public inquiries in a timely fashion and responds to requests for information and presentations.

Handles placement and staffing of exhibitor displays at professional or community events, including, but not limited to: health fairs, donor registration drives, community expos and festivals.
- Assists with identifying and developing community outreach campaigns specific to multicultural communities but not limited to.

In partnership with the Communications team, identifies social media partnerships for further mission-focused engagement with key target audiences.

Assist with photography of professional events and community outreach activities.

Required knowledge and experience in graphic design and proficient in PowerPoint and Canva.
